Our Warranty Promise

All furniture purchased from KM Furnitures comes with a 12-month warranty covering manufacturing defects, effective from the date your order is delivered. This warranty is provided in addition to your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, which are not affected by anything in this policy.

 

What's Covered

Our warranty applies to faults arising from the manufacturing process or defective materials under normal domestic use. This includes:

 

1) Structural faults in frames, panels, or joints

 

2) Faulty hinges, runners, handles, or other fitted hardware

 

3) Defects in drawer mechanisms or sliding door tracks

 

4) Manufacturing flaws present in the product at the time of delivery

 

5) Missing or incorrect components identified within 30 days of delivery

 

If a covered fault is confirmed, we will — at our discretion — repair the item, replace the faulty part or panel, replace the item in full, or offer a partial or full refund depending on the nature of the fault and the age of the product.

 

What's Not Covered

The warranty does not extend to:

 

1) General wear and tear from everyday use.

 

2) Accidental damage, misuse, or damage caused during customer assembly (such as overtightened fittings or forced components).

 

3) Damage caused by moving the item after assembly, particularly dragging assembled units across floors.

 

4) Exposure to moisture, direct heat sources, or prolonged direct sunlight.

 

5) Products used in commercial, rental, or non-domestic settings.

 

6) Alterations, modifications, or repairs carried out by anyone other than KM Furnitures or an approved repairer.

 

7) Natural variations in wood grain, color, or finish, which are characteristics of the materials rather than defects..

 

Flat-Pack and Self-Assembly Items

Many of our products are supplied flat-packed for self-assembly. Please check all panels and fittings against the instruction manual before beginning assembly. If any part is damaged or missing, contact us before assembling the item — we will send replacement parts free of charge. Assembling a product with visibly damaged components may limit what we're able to offer under warranty.

 

How to Make a Warranty Claim

 

Contact us

at support@shopkmfurnitures.co.uk with your order number and a brief description of the fault.

 

Attach clear photographs

showing the fault and, where relevant, the product as a whole.

 

Wait for our response

Our team aims to reply within 2 working days with the next steps.

 

Resolution

Depending on the fault, we may send replacement parts, arrange a repair, collect the item for replacement, or process a refund.

Please do not dispose of or return any item before speaking with us, as we may need to inspect it or arrange collection.

 

Replacement Parts

Where a fault affects a single component (for example, one hinge or one panel), we will normally resolve the issue by sending a replacement part rather than exchanging the entire unit. This is usually the fastest solution and avoids unnecessary waste.

 

Your Statutory Rights

Nothing in this warranty limits your legal rights as a consumer. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and as described. If a product is faulty, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund regardless of this warranty. For independent advice, you can contact Citizens Advice or your local Trading Standards office.
